The FIRST LEGO League Explore season ends with festivals, where students showcase their team models and posters and share what they've learned with volunteers, friends, and family. It is also a wonderful opportunity for teams to meet other teams and learn from one another.

Kids and families can do hands on Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math (STEAM) activities with Westminster University scientists on the 1st Saturday of the month.

FIRST LEGO League guides youth through STEM learning and exploration at an early age. From Discover, to Explore, and then to Challenge, students will understand the basics of STEM and apply their skills in an exciting competition while building habits of learning, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way.

Tinker Club is a FREE opportunity for children ages 5-6 and their adult caregivers to take a deeper dive into the topics of making and engineering in McWane’s Tinker Shop. Tinker Club allows participants to work with more complex tools and materials, teaches the steps of the design process, and encourages caregiver/child engagement through fun and creative projects. Registration is required.

The Kenyan K. Beals Community Robotics Center is a joint project between Hawaii Science and Technology Museum and Mokupāpapa Discovery center. We’ve partnered to introduce new students to robotics as well as offer lab and practice space to local teams. Through KKBCRC we offer the VEX VRC and VEX IQ platforms as well as MATE ROV underwater robotics. Located on the top floor of 76 Kamehameha Ave, this STEM education center is a place to share the love of robotics with students and help new teams and coaches get started with the resources and information they need. Come visit us every Saturday from 10am-2pm!

The Little STEAMers Preschool is based on the Montessori principles that children learn best when they are given the freedom to move, to choose their own work, and follow their interests, operating within boundaries that include respect for themselves, others, and their environment. In Little STEAMers Preschool students learn through guided exploration and build skills with independent hands-on learning. Using Montessori methods, our teachers progress students’ exploration skills and use a complete preschool curriculum to develop students’ understanding of STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and communication (language arts & literacy).

Kids of all ages are welcome to come and build together on Monday, March 3rd from 4:00-5:00pm! Legos, Duplos, Mega Blocks, Magna Tiles, wooden blocks, and cardboard blocks will be available to choose from. This program is designed to encourage imaginative play and teamwork while contributing to a foundation for early mathematical concepts

STEM Adventure Club, where we ignite a passion for science in kids from grades 1 to 5 and fill them with the thrill of discovery! At North Dakota’s Gateway to Science, we believe in introducing young minds to the wonders of science through hands-on experiments, exciting activities, and interactive games. Each session is designed to captivate and educate, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of science.

Build to your heart’s content every Monday and Friday afternoon. Drop by the Imaginarium anytime between 2:30-5 PM and create fantastic Lego structures!
